Penyakit sebaran Antara Pelarian Letusan Sirung

Kupang.

Japanese professor warns of high probability of eruption of Mt. Fuji within 3 years

Professor Emeritus, Kimura from Ryukyu University warns that an eruption of Mt. Fuji in 3 years is a bigger risk than previously thought possible earthquake because of the 34 km long fault found under the volcano. He points out these facts: One, from North east to South west of the crater, fumarole emissions are being observed. This is the water version of eruption instead of magma, but the mechanism is almost the same as normal eruption. In Fujinomiya city beside Mt. Fuji, water has been springing every few months since 2 years ago. Fujigoko Lake located at North to Mt. Fuji. And secondly, huge holes appear in the Fuji maneuvering ground of Japanese Self Defense Force. Natural gas is coming up from the holes. The temperature is 40℃ ~ 50℃. It is not the volcanic gas directly coming up from magma but considering water eruption as well, it is highly likely to be the omen of major eruption at the volcano. Mt. Fuji hasn’t erupted since 1707. According to the simulation of Cabinet Government, volcanic ash will be accumulated 2~10cm even in Tokyo, where is 100km away from Mt. Fuji. In the worst case, 14,600km of road will be closed. 515 flights will be cancelled a day. 1,080,000 houses will be out of power. The estimated economical damage will be 2 trillion and 500 billion yen.

Five active volcanoes on my Asia Pacific 'Ring of Fire' watch-list right now
The Conversation AU

In Indonesia, more than 197 million people live within 100km of a volcano, including more than 8.6 million inside a 10km radius. The country has a record of some of the most deadly volcanic eruptions in history, and right now there are ongoing eruptions at the Agung, Sinabung and Dukono volcanoes But other volcanoes in the region are active too, including Kadovar in Papua New Guinea, Mayon in the Philippines, and Kusatsu-Shiranesan in Japan.

These volcanoes are part of the Pacific “Ring of Fire”, a horseshoe-shaped belt of earthquakes and volcanoes that runs for some 40,000km, roughly around the edge of the Pacific Ocean. The Ring stretches from South America, up to North America and across the Bering straight, and down through Japan, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and New Zealand. It generates around 90% of the world’s earthquakes and contains 75% of its active volcanoes.

Here are the volcanoes on my Asia-Pacific watch list this week. [ Agung, Bali, Indonesia, Sinabung, Sumatra, Indonesia, Mayon, Luzon, Philippines; Kadovar, Papua New Guinea,  Kusatsu-Shirane, Honshu Japan ]

Agung, Bali, Indonesia
Mount Agung in Bali has been highly scrutinised for the past few months, largely because of Bali’s popularity as a tourist destination.

After a series of volcanic earthquakes (more than 1,000 per day at its peak), eruptions began on November 21, 2017.

Although it all seems to be happening at once, it’s normal for the Asia-Pacific region to have frequent earthquake and volcanic activity.

But we still need to keep a close eye on things, and local volcanic authorities are monitoring activity to manage risks and evacuations adequately.
