3 hour hike is complete. 2-3 miles up & down the mtns.
You have been telling people that this is the 11th hour.

Now you must go back & tell people  this  is  "The Hour" .

Well, for camping and general use I have my favorite knife that can take abuse.
http://www.bladehq.com/item--TOPS-Knives-High-Desert-Survival--9623

Definitely expensive but very sturdy and is a real jack of all trades knife.  Not wonderful at anything but decent at just about everything.   Here is a Youtube review of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTGt_lcj5OQ&context=C482d597ADvjVQa1PpcFNwz3c5TGu6pU_oZlwCmIWwTZhope9LV2Y=

If anyone needs a "survival" knife it is a good one.
Endure... Honor requires nothing less.

I saw this about heating a room but wonder if it would get hot enough to boil water also?

If you want to heat a room with just one candle and save even more money you need to create thermal mass and then radiate it with terracotta pots. It more simple than you could ever imagine.

bk thanks for posting this...I couldn't tell you if this would boil water, but it's possible.
I'm going to post this in a couple of other places on the Townhall... Survival Videos, etc.
