Flood waters down Brisbane River to peak in next 24hrs,my bosses house went under,i live about 8klms from the city and am so lucky im on high ground !!!! The next few days will be challenging to say the least,im just so thankful that my surrounding family are out of danger ,thanks all for your kind words,we really need it at the moment

STORM FORCE WIND WARNING FOR NORTH EASTERN AREA

SITUATION
At 1200 UTC Tropical Cyclone Zelia was centred within 30 nautical miles of
 latitude thirteen decimal eight south (13.8S)
 longitude one hundred and fifty two decimal two east (152.2E)
Recent movement : southeast at 10 knots
Maximum winds   : 40 knots
Central pressure: 989 hPa

AREA AFFECTED
Within 60 nautical miles of the centre.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 40 knots near the centre increasing to 55 knots by 1200 UTC 15
January.

Very rough to high seas and moderate swells.


Forecast positions
At 0000 UTC 15 January: Within 75 nautical miles of 15.1 south 153.1 east
                        Central pressure 987 hPa.
                        Winds to 45 knots near centre.
At 1200 UTC 15 January: Within 100 nautical miles of 16.8 south 155.3 east
                        Central pressure 982 hPa.
                        Winds to 55 knots near centre.

REMARKS
All ships in the area please send weather reports every three hours. Regular
weather observing ships use normal channels. Other ships please use either

through Land Earth Station Perth 212.

TROPICAL CYCLONE INFORMATION BULLETIN
For 10:56 pm EST on Friday 14 January 2011
At 10 pm EST Friday, Tropical Cyclone Zelia (Category 1) with central pressure
989 hPa was located
over the Coral Sea
near latitude 13.8 south longitude 152.2 east, which is about 365 km northeast
of Willis Is and 770 km east northeast of Cairns.

The cyclone is moving southeast at about 18 kilometres per hour.

Tropical Cyclone Zelia is currently moving southeast away from the Australian
coast. It should maintain a south-eastward track and increase in speed and
intensity through the next 24 to 48 hours. It will have no impact upon
Australia.

The next Information Bulletin will be issued by 5 am EST on Saturday.

It doesn't look like TC Zelia will hit New Zealand... a portion of it could skirt Noumea.

Tropical Storm Zelia has been moving away from Australia for at least a day, meanwhile although
the storm is weakening it could affect other areas farther out...

A CYCLONE WARNING IS IN FORCE FOR NORFOLK ISLAND TROPICAL CYCLONE ZELIA WAS CENTRED NEAR 27.5 SOUTH 167.5 EAST AT 1730 NFT on 17-Jan-2011
 
This Tropical Cyclone (975hPa, Category 2) lies about 175 kilometres northnorthwest (95 nautical miles) from Norfolk Island.
 
The Cyclone is currently weakening slowly.
The Cyclone is now expected to pass close to the east of Norfolk Island (60 to 120km) around midnight tonight (Monday).
By midday Tuesday the cyclone should lie about 450km southeast of the Island.
