Some Survival Websites

This one is called Survive In Place
and is by the NRA Business Alliance.
They offer a free download of general advice and also a three month program of instruction on how to
survive in place and it does look like there's a lot of useful information. (Not terribly expensive for the program.)

"Attention: Is Your Family Prepared For Urban Survival?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You're About To Learn Insider Secrets To Survive Disasters, Pandemics, Economic Collapse, and Breakdowns In Civil Order."
Once inside you'll learn...
Survival is NOT a luxury reserved for the rich and how you can quickly and inexpensively put a survival plan into place to ride out disasters right where you currently live.
Why you probably won't be able to get out of the city...besides heavy traffic, many small towns are preparing blockades to protect themselves from the "golden horde" of people fleeing cities.
How to prepare for disasters without making yourself a target for thieves now and looters later. Nothing screams "rob me!" like piles of survival supplies stacked in your garage.
How to create a plan that will work in the real world...even if you're out of town and your family is home alone when the balloon goes up.
ACCESS YOUR FREE SECRETS OF URBAN SURVIVAL SPECIAL REPORT:
Enter your email address in the form below for instant access to the Urban Survival special report...
You don't have time to learn everything. I'll show you how to build a team of like minded people with complimentary skills without compromising operational security and making yourself a target.
Why most survival plans miss one of eight key factors. Missing a single one of these will likely mean the difference between success and failure. You don't have too many chances to fail in a survival situation.
And that's just a tiny sample!

You can get all the details right now by downloading the "Urban Survival" special report. Just fill out the short, easy form on the right to get started."

Actually the first thing you see is a clip of Dr. Strangelove
with Johnny Cash's "When The Man Comes Around" playing in the background.

SurvivalOutpost site
http://www.survivaloutpost.com/servlet/the-template/about/Page

SurvivalOutpost.com is more than an online store for emergency preparedness supplies and survival equipment; it's a resource for educational materials and an online community where you can interact with like-minded individuals who have the same concerns as you. The company was founded by two experienced survivalists, both of whom take survival preparation seriously.

Brian French
A US Army veteran, Brian French has extensive training in first-aid, weapons, survival techniques and chemical/biological warfare. Following his military service, French graduated from business school and spent six years working in the insurance industry tracking risks and losses associated with natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes. For more information on Brian, see our Advisory Board page.

Kevin Baum
Kevin Baum is an accomplished survivalist with 22 years of fire service experience. During his tenure as a professional firefighter, Kevin served as a master rescue technician for special rescues including high-angle rescue, cave rescue, confined space rescue, wilderness rescue, and field medicine. An avid outdoorsman, Baum has climbed many of the classic alpine routes on glaciated peaks throughout the northern hemisphere. Kevin is also the co-creator of an internationally successful campaign designed to educate families and business on the importance early detection and emergency prevention. For more information on Kevin, see our Advisory Board page. [Photos of Brian and Kevin]

French and Baum started SurvivalOutpost.com to provide practical equipment and resources to help people prepare for and survive emergencies and natural or man-made disasters. Their Motto is simple,
