New book out for your reading enjoyment

Apocalypse now? Nuclear proliferation is the least of our worries!! :'(

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/books/what-to-read/apocalypse-now-nuclear-proliferation-least-worries/

Soon, a massive solar flare will bring the world to a halt claims the author of a new book

A century and a half ago, a sunspot caused a massive solar flare. On Earth, the northern lights were visible as far south as Cuba. Morse-code telegraph cables – state of the art in 1859 – acted like radio antennae, sucking energy from the electrical-magnetic atmospheric storm. Their pulses of high voltage generated sparks in the telegraph offices and gave shocks to the telegraph operators, but caused no greater damage.

By 1921, however, when electrical generators and equipment had become commonplace in industrialised nations, a more modest sunspot wrought havoc. In the United States and Sweden, telegraph control buildings were incinerated by electrically generated fires. In New York, the Central Railroad’s signalling equipment was wrecked, and a fire burnt down at least one building. Fortunately, power...

North Korea's nuclear capability growing every day, top US diplomat warns!

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/01/06/north-koreas-nuclear-capability-growing-every-day-top-us-diplomat-warns.html

WASHINGTON –  A key U.S. diplomat warned Thursday that North Korea's weapons capabilities have shown a "qualitative improvement" in the past year and the result is an "unprecedented level of activity."

Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who met with his counterparts from key U.S. allies Japan and South Korea, said the North conducted nuclear and missile tests with new intensity during 2016 and that the threat it poses grows by the day. The North Koreans learn from every single test, including failures, he said.

"They apply what they have learned to their technology and to the next test, and in our assessment we have seen a qualitative improvement in their capabilities over the past year as a result of this unprecedented level of activity," Blinken told a news conference.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said Sunday preparations for test launching an intercontinental ballistic missile have "reached the final stage.”

North Korea conducted two nuclear tests last year and more than two dozen ballistic missile launches.

North Korea says can test-launch ICBM at any time: KCNA !

https://ca.news.yahoo.com/north-korea-says-test-launch-icbm-time-kcna-131005373.html

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea said on Sunday it can test launch an intercontinental ballistic missile at any time from any location set by leader Kim Jong Un, saying the United States' hostile policy was to blame for its arms development.

Kim said on Jan. 1 that his nuclear-capable country was close to test-launching an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

"The ICBM will be launched anytime and anywhere determined by the supreme headquarters of the DPRK," an unnamed Foreign Ministry spokesman was quoted as saying by the official KCNA news agency, using the acronym for the country's name.

The North is formally known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

"The U.S. is wholly to blame for pushing the DPRK to have developed ICBM as it has desperately resorted to anachronistic policy hostile toward the DPRK for decades to encroach upon its sovereignty and vital rights," KCNA quoted the spokesman as saying.

"Anyone who wants to deal with the DPRK would be well advised to secure a new way of thinking after having clear understanding of it," the spokesman said, according to KCNA.

2017 Update from Major Ed Dames (and “fire sale” (littery) on all RV Products!

Major Ed Dames' First 2017 Update! Close Calls (Didn't you Hear?) and Crucial Approaching Events.
January 14, 2017

30% Off Everything at RemoteViewingProducts.com

Message from Major Ed Dames:

First of all, did you hear about the asteroid that almost hit Earth a few days ago - reported by MSN News? No? I'm not surprised. So why would one think that the governments of the world will warn their citizens when the Killshot begins? This is an event that I have been warning people about for years, that only recently, various government agencies and researchers admit is actually going to happen. Hopefully you know what I'm talking about.

Regardless, this is my first message of 2017 to the public. In fact, I've been out of the United States for the last month making final sanctuary preparations. Now I'm back in the states and planning on finally revealing some big updates on national radio that include my forecast and warnings for the year.

And speaking of such, the annual Remote Viewing forecast is now in huge demand since word has spread on just how accurate they have been in the past for predicting events like the Fukushima disaster in Japan and various economic crashes. There's no shortage of questions and topics coming in about North Korea, earthquakes, war with Russia, and more so I'll try to address as much as possible soon.

I've also been getting flooded with messages on Facebook regarding doing more live training and Killshot sanctuary workshops on the East and West coasts. I'll have to think about how to help all of these people. I can't keep doing this forever. At some point I'm going to have to draw the line and bunker down at my sanctuary. Time is short my friends.

We'll touch base again soon, but for those messaging about Killshot maps and home training, the latest resources are available below. Grab them while they're still in stock.

They are getting ready should we all..

NASA reveals new prediction system for giant 'doomsday' solar storms that could cost America $41 billion a day

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4161180/NASA-prediction-doomsday-solar-storms.html

The have the potential to wipe out power for millions, and cost economies around the world billions.
NASA today revealed a breakthrough in predicting solar storms, which will help give Earth an early warning.

The magnetic field of these solar eruptions are difficult to predict and can interact with Earth's magnetic fields, causing space weather effects.

Unlike the energy and x-rays produced in a solar flare – which can reach Earth at the speed of light in eight minutes – coronal mass ejections are giant, expanding clouds of solar material that take one to three days to reach Earth.
Once at Earth, these ejections or CMEs can impact satellites in space or interfere with radio communications.

The new tool, called EEGGL – short for the Eruptive Event Generator (Gibson and Low) and pronounced 'eagle' – helps map out the paths of these magnetically structured clouds, called coronal mass ejections or CMEs, before they reach Earth.

One recent study predicted solar storms could cause massive blackouts across America and cost the country up to $41.5 billion a day, a shocking new study has found.
Researchers carried out an unprecedented study examining the economic impact of huge solar flares it is feared could knock out power to entire regions.

Under the study's most extreme blackout scenario, affecting 66 percent of the U.S. population, the daily domestic economic loss could total $41.5 billion plus an additional $7 billion loss through the international supply chain.

A widely cited 2012 paper by Pete Riley of Predictive Sciences Inc. said that the probability of another Carrington event occurring within the next decade is around 12 percent; a 2013 report by insurer Lloyd's, produced in collaboration with Atmospheric and Environmental Research, said that while the probability of an extreme solar storm is 'relatively low at any given time, it is almost inevitable that one will occur eventually.

Manufacturing is the U.S. economic sector most affected by those solar-induced blackouts, followed by government, finance and insurance, and property.

Are there any known internet, radio, tv, or shortwave links/stations that would be most likely to broadcast incoming doomsday solar storms?  Assuming spaceweather.com would mention it, but who knows when?

It seems radio, internet, or one of a few tv broadcasts might be contenders.  It's hard to imagine NASA warning anyone, as people inside NASA seem to be working at cross-purposes, and remember, they claimed they were caught unawares when that asteroid slammed into Russia a few years ago.

Ideas anyone, on sources who would warn the world of such an incoming event?

The “Powers at Be” are finally taking some “baby steps” to think about protecting the power grid, unfortunately its way too late …

February 15, 2017
Steps Finally To Be Taken To Prevent 'Societal Mass Destruction' As Grid-Protecting CIPA Is Enacted - But Will It Be In Time? :P

http://allnewspipeline.com/Grid_Protecting_CIPA_Enacted.php

Congress, virtually at the last minute and unnoted by the press, finally passed the Critical Infrastructure Protection Act (CIPA) — arguably the single most important piece of legislation approved by Congress in 2016 — by inserting it into the National Defense Authorization Act.

The bill, long-championed by Rep. Trent Franks, Arizona Republican, and sponsored by Sen. Ron Johnson, Wisconsin Republican, in the Senate, has traveled a long road.

Eight years ago, the Congressional EMP Commission urged Capitol Hill to direct the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to protect the electric grid and other critical infrastructures from a man-made or natural electromagnetic pulse (EMP).

EMP could cause a protracted nationwide blackout. The EMP Commission warned a nationwide blackout lasting one year could kill up to 90 percent of the American people through societal collapse and starvation.

CIPA implements one of the most important recommendations of the EMP Commission to prevent societal mass destruction. It directs the DHS to establish new national planning scenarios focused on protecting and recovering the nation from an EMP catastrophe. All federal, state and local emergency planning, training and resource allocation are based on the DHS national planning scenarios.

Passage of CIPA means that millions of emergency planners and first responders across the nation, including police, firefighters and National Guardsmen, will become part of the solution to the existential threat that is EMP.

CIPA also requires the DHS to start pilot programs demonstrating that the national electric grid can be protected from the catastrophic consequences of an EMP event cost-effectively. CIPA directs the exploration and development of new technologies to make EMP hardening of all the critical infrastructures easier and even more affordable.

CIPA will further help protect the electric grid and other critical infrastructures from cyberwarfare, physical sabotage and severe terrestrial weather. The Congressional EMP Commission recommended that by protecting against the worst threat — nuclear EMP attack — all these lesser threats would also be mitigated.

CIPA may have passed just in time. The threats from nuclear and solar EMP are not merely theoretical, but are clear and present dangers, right now. (Ya think??)

Thanks for posting this, MadMax.  It covers two areas:  EMP from nuclear or solar origins.

Then there is another huge one looming and it relates to how everything, including the Grid, is connected to the internet in one way or another, often in multiple ways.

We finally saw the movie ZERO Days, and it shows how the StuxNet virus has already been implemented to cause havoc to another country or whatever entity is the goal of the evildoer.  This virus or one or more others could take down the Grid in an area, small or large, includging countrywide, and the results could be as bad or worse than those envisioned by our government when they passed the CIPA thingy.

So, even with CIPA in place, it is wise for people not to be complacent.  Expect surprises.  Check out ZERO DAYS also.

6 Things That Will Happen If Our Power Grid Goes Down!

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-02-28/6-totally-insane-things-will-happen-if-our-power-grid-goes-down

Imagine if you will, what would happen if you pulled an American family from the 19th century, and plopped them in the middle of downtown Los Angeles during rush hour. They’re not given a warning, they’re not given any kind of primer on what they’re about to experience, and the occurrence is completely inexplicable. How long do you suppose they would last before they cried uncle? Would they even survive? The odds probably aren’t so good.

Of course, the reverse is probably also true. If you and your family were wrenched from the comforts of the present and hurled back into a previous era, you might not fare so well either. Your survival odds would probably be a little better since you have hindsight and an understanding of germ theory. However, it would still be a pretty alien world for you. It would be littered with pitfalls that most modern people can’t even imagine.
6 Totally Insane Things That Will Happen If Our Power Grid Goes Down

And that’s why it’s so important for everyone to prepare for the possibility that one day our grid could go down in a big way, whether it be from a terrorist attack, cyber attack, nuclear war, or solar flare. If our society suffered a widespread power failure that lasted for weeks or months, it would be no different for us than if we were suddenly sent back to the 1800’s. It would be a strange and dangerous world, and for the average person, it would catch them off guard in the following ways:

1. All commerce will cease. The ATMs won’t work, the banks won’t open, and the cash registers won’t…well, register. For a while cash will be king, but if the crisis goes on for more than a few weeks, then people will view it as worthless. We’d be back to a barter economy in short order.

2. Communications will shut down. If you think you can rely on your cell phone to work in a disaster, think again. In a crisis, when everyone instinctively reaches for their phone, that limit is quickly surpassed and the radios on the tower get sluggish, thus causing the fast-busy signal. Mobile analysts estimates that a cell site can handle 150 to 200 calls per second per sector. When a large group are making calls at the same time, the network can’t handle the amount of calls. More importantly, communications with police, firefighters, and ambulance services will cease. Many of the workers in these positions will try to soldier on, and keep doing the best job that they can for as long as they can. However, without ordinary citizens calling them to report crimes and emergencies, they’ll be helplessly watching their communities burn down around them. It won’t be long before they give up, ditch their posts, and return to their families.

3. Without electricity, all forms of fuel that our society relies on will stop flowing. All of our vehicles will be dead in the water, and more importantly, the trucks will stop delivering food. The grocery stores will be stripped bare in hours, and will not be replenished for a long time. Even if you live in an area that is rich in agricultural resources, there may be no food to be had, since those farms rely on fertilizers and farming equipment that must be delivered by trucks.

4. And of course many of those farms will lack water, as will your plumbing. For a couple of days after the power goes out, you’ll still have running water since water towers rely on gravity to feed the water to your home. However, electricity is required to clean that water and pump it into the tower. Once it’s out, that means that you won’t be able to flush your toilet. So not only dehydration be a major threat, but without the ability to remove human waste or wash your hands, every community will face daunting sanitation problems.

5. When the grocery stores are stripped bare, the pharmacies won’t be far behind. Millions of people who rely on life saving medications could die in the weeks and months that follow. But perhaps more shocking is what would happen to the people who aren’t using drugs that are immediately life saving. 13% of Americans are using opioid drugs, which are highly addictive and cause horrendous withdrawal symptoms. Another 13% of Americans are on antidepressants, and likewise, the withdrawal symptoms are pretty problematic. In other words, within a few weeks after the grid collapses, about 25% of your neighbors are going to be in an awful mental state that is not conducive for survival.

6. And finally, one of the most shocking things that people will have to deal with, is the lack of GPS. The GPS satellites will probably keep running, but eventually the devices that read those signals will give up the ghost. These days people are pretty reliant on GPS for directions, and there aren’t as many paper maps lying around. The average person is going to be utterly lost if the grid goes down

In summary, law and order will break down at every level, and death will be around every corner. It’s one thing to grow up and live in an era that lacks electricity, but to be sent back to such a time on a moments notice would be one of the most challenging things that a person accustomed to modern amenities would ever face.

China Warns US And North Korea Are 'Two Trains Racing Towards A Head-On Collision' As 'Brand New Level Of Threat' Is Reached - Will Pacific Region Become A 'Nuclear War Zone'?
Suicide Submarines And Super-EMP's, North Korea Is Aiming At America

http://allnewspipeline.com/North_Korea_Aims_At_America_Trump_Responds.php

Back on March 2nd, Ambassador R. James Woolsey and Dr. Peter Vincent Pry submitted a story to All News Pipeline in which they asked if the most dangerous weapons known to mankind were now aimed at America. Warning us within their story that Americans who were unconcerned about the nuclear weapons program of North Korea were 'living dangerous delusions', only days later we learn from this new story at The Washington Free Beacon that North Korea could soon have (or already has!) the capacity to launch an attack upon Hawaii that could completely devastate our Pacific military bases.

As Ambassador Woolsey and Dr. Pry argued in their story, North Korea's nuclear weapons program is a 'game changer' and while we are happy to see that President Donald Trump is taking NKorea much more seriously than his predecessor, proven by his recent decision to send B-52 nuclear bombers after NKorea fired missiles at Japan, it's clear to everyone paying attention that NKorea's latest missile launch provocation represents a 'brand new level of threat'. In the 1st video below, Christopher Greene of AMTV talks with us about Trump's move sending nuclear-armed B-52's to the region.

Ambassador Woolsey and Dr. Pry's story, originally published at the Wall Street Journal back on February 27th, warned us then that 'NKorea's nuclear weapons were far more dangerous and far more advanced' than many experts had thought while also claiming the Korean dictator was also in possession of Super-EMP nukes, warning us: "A single Super-EMP warhead detonated over North America could permanently black out the U.S. and Canada and kill up to 90% of the population through starvation and societal collapse.”

The stakes for America are extremely high in the Pacific region with our Pacific Missile Range Facility at Barking Sands in Hawaii the 'cerebral cortex' of the region along with Pearl Harbor. As this 2015 study from the Congressional Research Service states, Hawaii, South Korea and Japan make up a sort of 'iron triangle' in the Pacific region for US defense, and NKorea can now strike all three. The US military also has a missile defense facility in Guam that is said to 'help the locals sleep well at night' but is also well within range of NKorean missiles.

North Korea Defector Claims Next Nuke Test Will Be an “Apocalypse”

http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2017/03/nk-defector-claims-next-nuke-test-will-be-an-apocalypse-video-3490621.html

A high-ranking North Korean defector has warned that North Korea’s nuclear tests could have devastating effects — for not only the communist county but also the rest of the world.

In an interview with Voice of America’s VOA News, Thae Yong Ho, North Korea’s former deputy ambassador in London, said North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un intended to test nuclear bombs larger than any he has tested before.

And the results could be devastating.

On Tuesday, the Yonhap News Agency reported that, according to 38 North, a website run by the U.S.-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, satellite imagery of North Korea’s Punggye-ri nuclear test site showed “substantial tunnel excavation is continuing at the North Portal, where the last four of the five underground nuclear tests by the North were conducted.”

That was the site the North Korean defector was particularly worried about.

“A nuclear test which the North is trying to conduct at the Punggye-ri test site will break the country into two pieces,” he warned.

If a test is conducted, it would be 14 times more powerful than the previous one, Yonhap reported.

“If a massive explosion pollutes the area, and subsequently Pyongyang loses its control over the border areas of North Hamkyong Province, a massive defection will take place there,” he added, comparing the consequences of such an explosion to an apocalypse.

As Yonhap reported: “The environmental pollution resulting from a failure to control a nuclear explosion in a small country like North Korea will almost be an apocalypse, he said.”

North Korean Defector Tells Lester Holt ‘World Should Be Ready’!!

“Kim Jong Un is a man who can do anything beyond the normal imagination”

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/north-korean-defector-tells-lester-holt-world-should-be-ready-n741901

SEOUL, South Korea — A senior North Korean defector has told NBC News that the country's "desperate" dictator is prepared to use nuclear weapons to strike the United States and its allies.

Thae Yong Ho is the most high profile North Korean defector in two decades, meaning he is able to give a rare insight into the secretive, authoritarian regime.

According to Thae, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is "desperate in maintaining his rule by relying on his [development of] nuclear weapons and ICBM." He was using an acronym for intercontinental ballistic missiles — a long range rocket that in theory would be capable of hitting the U.S.

"Kim Jong Un is a person who did not even hesitate to kill his uncle and a few weeks ago, even his half-brother," Thae said. "So, he is a man who can do anything to remove [anyone in] his away.”

Tillerson: China agrees on 'action' on North Korea as navy strike group sails

Secretary of state: ‘President Xi understands the situation has intensified’

Sunday 9 April 2017 10.31 EDT
First published on Saturday 8 April 2017 19.28 EDT

As the US navy deployed a strike group towards the western Pacific Ocean, to provide a presence near the Korean peninsula, the secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, said China agreed with the Trump administration that “action has to be taken” regarding North Korea.

President Xi clearly understands, and I think agrees, that the situation has intensified and has reached a certain level of threat that action has to be taken,” Tillerson said.

Tillerson described a “shared view and no disagreement as to how dangerous the situation has become”.

I happen to come across a news story posted right now on MSN home page. It is entitled "NASA Releases Stunning Image Of Sun's Magnetic Field". It's a 48 second video illustrating the sun's magnetism... it's nice and all until you get to see a video clip of a second sun for a few seconds about 36 seconds in... Just thought I'd share

here's the link that I copied and THANK YOU ALL for all you do.                                                                                                       http://www.msn.com/en-us/video/other/nasa-releases-stunning-image-of-suns-magnetic-field/vi-BBqx5ws

Thank you for your post, maineadof5... viewing the video now,
