http://www.moviefone.com/movie/the-road/32581/showtimes?mileValue=&selectedShowDate=

The other link didn't work but this should work.
Go to the link that says "View Unlimited Theater Results." Just plug in your zip code.
177 pages of theaters.
None in my zip code have to go to Tampa to see it.

Good luck,

Hi Archangel here is a link for Lexington KY theater where The Road
started Jan 01. http://www.kentuckytheater.com/

Not sure if this will help...

Just finished watching the Movie. It at least had some hope at the end. Definately shows the best and worst in man.
It is not what you know.

I know I'm coming into this topic really late...but I have to say that this film moved me more than any other film I have ever watched. I am now reading the book to fully absorb this important work. To any one trying to broach the PX subject with loved ones who are not awake.....here is your introduction to some of the harsh realities....

Hi All
I finally watched The Road last night. It was a supermarket rental movie but wow it really was valuable. The horrible scenes aside (part of the reality) it was a masterpeice, I feel. Interesting what Robert Duvall said about he had believed all along something would happen,,,
Well, who all finally saw it?

It would be impossible to watch this movie and not have thoughts afterward. Harsh reality hits hard. When there are no rules, you make your own. Not a happy movie.

I found that it did contain a modicum of hope for Mankind. That was sort of symbolized when the family took the boy in. I thought at first that's bogus why would they be so happy to have another mouth to feed. A little while later, I had the thought the mother who took him in had a young son and daughter. They were very lonely and isolated. The first thought was the boy would be a future husband for her daughter. Finally I had a look at part of her motivation - she wanted to see the race survive and here was a good'un to be part of her group and carry on. (Carry on the fire.) Civilization.
She looked a little frail and welcomed some help and someone to help her feel there was a future.
The live bug and the live bird shown in the movie also hinted at hope.

That's true a person would have to have cement between their ears to
not to be affected by this movie.

Unfortunately I know too many friends with their heads in the sand even on the Gulf situation. With all that  going on their remedy is to not listen to news. I could not believe it from that one friend in Ca of all places. There will be so many that will allow themselves to be blind sided by events and die  from the reality when it hits them only too late to react constructively and to say it is just a movie and not get moved by it. Pray for the shallow because they will be in deep crap{{:>)

This current movie reminds me of a late '70s apocalyptic tale called "Threads" it was British I believe. Ted Turner ran it back in the day on his network. Scared the be-jeeezus out of me at the time. Anybody see it ????
You have been telling people that this is the 11th hour.

Now you must go back & tell people  this  is  "The Hour" .
