My youngest daughter is in Alabama for the military right now attending a school.  The tornado touched down about 8 miles from where she is staying.  I pray she will continue to be safe with all the warnings that are posted now.
Is she OK?
Where was the tornado?
I figure with the military they will totally be on the situation. Even so, please tell her to be on the watch tonight due to the fact meteorologist are saying there could be repeat of last night...
I posted about it in the tornadoes topic with images and links. Many people probably feel the worst is over...That may be but there could still be tornadoes tonight... Rain-wrapped and out of nowhere...

Sorry, I meant to say Little Rock Arkansas.  She is ok, just hope she stays ok until she can finish out the week and come home.  She posted some pics on FB and she is pretty upset for the victims.

Yowbarb Note:
At first glance I can't tell if the TOR:CON Indexes were tweaked. I don't think so.
Lots of 7's up there on the board. Pretty high index and chances for tornadoes tonight.
Last post for awhile. Take Care, All.

Endtimesgal thanks for the update. So glad she is OK. I can see why she is upset now...
Arkansas was hit hard...
There was one college student killed. I think he was a sports star...I don't have much info yet on the fatalities I do know the first one of the season was the 27th, an eleven - month old baby...
Well I will sign off for now,

....The TOR:CON index ranges from 0 to 10.  Multiply the value by 10 to get your percentage chance of a tornado within 50 miles of a location.  For example, a TOR:CON index of 6 means there's a 60% chance of a tornado within 50 miles of any location in the indicated area.

For more on all severe thunderstorm threats, including damaging winds and large hail, check our severe weather tracker page.

Note: By definition, a severe thunderstorm contains one or more of the following: hail at least 1 inch in diameter, wind gusts 58 mph or higher, or a tornado.
