This is an interesting topic, and what is especially unique about this picture is that of all the people in the crowd, only one person is looking up!

So far, we only have two blueberry plants mature enough to produce fruit, and this year I hung several items that supposedly work to foil or scare birds.  I think it did work, as today I harvested the last blueberries from the late-ripening variety, Chandler.

No bird ever touched one blueberry.  None.  If you like, I can post pictures of our setup, which I've left up because there are still six (6) berries not mature, and we want every last berry for ourselves.

Truly fascinating that scientists have discovered ways to prevent glyphosate from entering the cells, and also discovered ways to remove or deactivate the toxins once they've reached the cell.

Wouldn't you know--the solutions are herbal, and right out there in Nature!

...That domino being global shipping.  Zero Hedge reported this past weekend that the world's largest shipping company, Maersk, is struggling to remain afloat (no pun intended), having already lost 30% of its stock market value so far this year.  It plans to cut back service between Asia and Northern Europe "temporarily" to cut costs.

Please see red line on Stock Market valuation chart below, and note that the collapse closely follows the blue line of the inverted bond yield curve, in which long-term interest rates are suddenly lower than short-term interest rates.

Since Maersk is struggling to remain solvent, it seems the heart of the matter is "people aren't buying as much stuff".  Not being an economist or accountant, I have to explain these things to myself in a way I can understand it.

And people not buying stuff makes sense, as world economies are all pretty much shakey, at best.  If it's too expensive to continue shipping between Asia and Northern Europe, then there must not be enough "stuff" moving between those two areas.  My 2 cents.

My black cat is actually a big cream puff, and is hiding from a thunderstorm right now...
Is that a trait of some black cats?  Our black Hudson is the same way.  He's sort of a behemoth of a guy, but scared of lightening and thunder.  But black Sama-Lama-Ding-Dong isn't afraid of much of anything.  Over the years, most of our cats were not afraid of storms, until Hudson.
