I chose this area in western North Carolina for its good seasonal climate, mountain elevation highest in the USA east coast, and rich bio diversity that appears to outlast events that are discussed within this site. 

Just learned recently that The French Broad River is the 3rd oldest river only to the Ganges and Nile.  With that said, the Appalachia Mtns are veyr old and stable too.

I am still in process for best location, supplies and trustworthy community.
