Austin TX here.  The Sonora caverns are at a high elevation (above 1500 ft), and the town has less than 5000 people in it.  Just off of I-10, about 4 hours west of Austin.  I was thinking of taking a drive out there and seeing if there was a water supply somewhere in the caverns.  Looks like a pretty good spot.  There's over a thousand caves/caverns in this state.  Not too shabby.

Always a good idea to have a plan A and a plan B in mind. Picture is the future map, tho we all must make the decisions best for ourselves and families.

I'm living in Texas as well. From what I've seen on the Texas threat report, much of Southeast Texas is going to be under water, Though  the Sonora caves DO sound like a good option. I guess it depends on how long it'll take for water to recede, if it ever does.

Those future maps make me think that'll be the new permanent face of the continent, and if that's true, people in those caves might very well find themselves on small islands, and that will  be bad over the long term if you don't have some sort of boat or raft, or enough supplies to last a really long time.

Here is my fear just because they have a map of what they think the future coast will be doesn't mean tidal wave doesn't wash over most the state once or twice before settling down to this new coast line.   I would love for all this to be bullsh*t but the more dots I connect the more it all makes perfect since.     Everyone I talk to about this thinks I'm crazy

So. Im going to check out possible caves in Guadalupe mountains anyone want to meet up let me know
