Jim had reported a week ago on the eruption of Mt. Etna, linking this article:
https://www.sott.net/category/4

Now, Mary Greeley is reporting that after 130 quakes, Mt. Etna is belching ash into the atmosphere, which has covered nearby towns and disrupted air travel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQVbrEWnq2I

Per Wiki, Etna is one of the largest volcanoes on earth, and has 5 craters at its summit and more than 300 vent holes in its sides.  Its magma is explosive in contact with snow.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Etna

One wonders what effect the combined volcanic ash and the imminent blocking of the sun by Harvard / Gates may have upon 2019 crop production?

Mary Greeley reported yesterday that 3/4 of Anak Krakatau / Krakatoa's above-ground volcanic cone was blown away during the eruption which coincided with the most recent Indonesian tsunami on December 23.  Following the eruption, the cone collapsed.

Wikipedia explains that Krakatoa's most powerful explosion in relatively recent history was a VEI 6 in the 19th Century, which was equal in power to 13,000 times the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.  Prior to that event, Krakatoa was comprised of three separate peaks, all of which were obliterated in the 1883 event.  Out of that collapsed trio of peaks, Anak Krakatau, or Child of Krakatoa, appeared in the same location as a new island with a new peak in 1927.

Courtesy of CENAPRED Popocatepetl Volcano Eruption 03/09/2019 Marzo 10, 11:00 h (Marzo 10, 17:00 GMT) In the last 24 hours, through the Popocatepetl volcano monitoring systems, 105 low-intensity exhalations were identified, accompanied by emissions of steam, gas and small amounts of ash (image 1). Also, an explosion was registered yesterday at 23:16 h, throwing incandescent fragments to an approximate distance of 1200 m; the ash column initially reached 1.5 km above the crater. It was dispersed towards northeast; at this moment there is no ashfall reports at that sector. Additionally, a volcanotectonic earthquake with preliminar magnitude of 2.1, 94 minutes of low-amplitude tremor and an episode of moderate-amplitude harmonic tremor between 8:03 and 9:02 h were recorded. During this morning a continuous emission of water vapor and volcanic gases has been observed, heading towards northwest CENAPRED emphasizes that people SHOULD NOT go near the volcano, especially near the crater, due to the hazard caused by ballistic fragments and in case of heavy rains leave the bottoms of ravines by the danger of landslides and debris flows. The Volcanic Traffic Light Yellow Phase 2. The scenarios foreseen for this phase are:
1. Explosive activity of low to intermediate level.
2. Ash fall in nearby towns.
3. Possibility of short range pyroclastic flows and mudflows . Special emphasis is placed on the following recommendations: 1. Continue the safety radius of 12 km, so staying in that area is not allowed. 2. Keep the controlled traffic between Santiago Xalitzintla and San Pedro Nexapa through Paso de Cortés. 3. Civil Protection authorities, keep your preventive procedures, in accordance with their operational plans.
4. People, be alert to the official information disseminated. In case of ashfall, address the following recommendations: • Cover nose and mouth with a handkerchief or face mask. • Clean eyes and throat with pure water. • Avoid contact lenses to reduce eye irritation. • Close windows or cover them up, and stay indoors as much as possible. Popocatepetl Volcano monitoring is performed continuously 24 hours a day. Any change in activity will be reported in due course.

Both Mary Greeley News and LogicBeforeAuthority are expressing concerns that the recent 5.5 magnitude quake, downgraded to 5.3, near Mt. Kilauea may signal a re-awakening of that volcano from a brief nap.  Locals all over the island described having felt the tremors.

Concerns continue not only about possible future quakes in the area, but also a potential resurgence of lava erupting through the surface, as well as the future fate of the Hilina Slump, which could trigger a large tsunami if it were to break off into the Pacific.

https://www.geek.com/news/watch-mexicos-popocatepetl-volcano-explodes-in-one-of-largest-eruptions-in-years-1779064/

Mexico’s Popocatepetl volcano erupted late on Monday, hurling incandescent rock about 1.5 miles down its slopes and sending ash into the night sky near the nation’s capital.

The explosion, one of the volcano’s largest eruptions in years, was heard from nearby communities and was loud enough to shake doors and windows of houses in the city of Puebla, according to local media.
