Huge Meteorite Hits Alwar, Rajasthan, Creating 20-Meter Large Crater and Changing Night Into Day Over India

https://strangesounds.org/2020/02/alwar-meteorite-creates-giant-crater-video-india-rajasthan-pictures.html

A giant meteorite created a huge 20-ft deep crater in a factory compound in the wee hours of Tuesday in the Itarana industrial area of Alwar, Rajasthan.

Many CCTV cameras were able to record the bright sky phenomenon. People that witnessed the sky event were left in shock.

A local resident, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, said that he felt an explosion and after leaving his house felt a gust of strong wind. Farmers in Fauladpur city of Shahjahanpur also saw the meteorite.

Ajay Chaudhary, a resident of Kotkasim area, said that while getting milk in the morning, there was a sudden light and rocket-like object appeared in the sky.
Sachin Bamba, chairman of astronomical organization Space India, says that it is a meteor, which has fallen on the earth.
It’s either a meteorite or a UFO.

A team of scientists has been sent to the crater to investigate the mysterious meteorite.

That's one powerful meteorite, to have made a 20' deep crater.  As Max often says, tick, tock, tick...

Planet-Killer? NASA On Alert For 'Potentially Hazardous' Asteroid Fast-Approaching Earth  :o

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/planet-killer-nasa-alert-potentially-hazardous-asteroid-fast-approaching-earth

NASA has confirmed that a potentially hazardous asteroid is traveling towards Earth at a mind-numbing 34,000 mph this weekend, the International Business Times reported.

NASA's Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS) detected the incoming asteroid as 163373 (2002 PZ39), measures about 3,250 feet across, and is expected to pass over Earth on Saturday.

"Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) are currently defined based on parameters that measure the asteroid's potential to make threatening close approaches to the Earth," NASA said in a statement.

NASA has been simulating for an "asteroid apocalypse" to help the space agency better prepare for an asteroid strike. But don't be alarmed, this weekend's extremely close pass over will miss Earth by a distance 0.03860 astronomical units, or about 3.6 million miles.

With a near-miss expected this weekend, there's another asteroid lurking above that measures a mile long and could threaten human civilization.

Japanese scientists warned last month, "the potential breakup of the rock could be dangerous to life on Earth. Those resulting asteroids could hit the Earth in the next 10 million years or so."

And it makes complete sense, why not just NASA, but Zerohedge readers are really going to like this, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has also been preparing for a possible disaster of an asteroid strike.

Largest Planet-Killer Asteroid To Approach Earth This Month Arriving On Saturday!!

https://www.ibtimes.com/largest-planet-killer-asteroid-approach-earth-month-arriving-saturday-2921210

potentially hazardous asteroid that’s big enough to trigger a nuclear winter and mass extinction events on Earth following a collision will intersect the planet’s path this weekend. According to the data collected by NASA, the approaching asteroid is larger than the tallest man-made structure in the world.

NASA’s Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS) has identified the incoming asteroid as 163373 (2002 PZ39). As indicated in CNEOS’ database, this asteroid is currently traveling toward Earth at a speed of almost 34,000 miles per hour.

CNEOS estimated that 163373 (2002 PZ39) has a diameter of around 3,250 feet, making it significantly bigger than the Burj Dubai, which is currently the tallest building in the world. Given its incredible size, 163373 (2002 PZ39) will be the biggest asteroid to approach Earth this month.

According to CNEOS, 163373 (2002 PZ39) is an Apollo asteroid, which means it is known to intersect Earth’s path around the Sun from time to time. Due to its dangerous orbit and massive size, approaching space rock has been labeled as a potentially hazardous asteroid.

“Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) are currently defined based on parameters that measure the asteroid’s potential to make threatening close approaches to the Earth,” NASA explained in a statement.’

According to CNEOS, 163373 (2002 PZ39)’s near-Earth intersection will happen on Feb. 15 at 6:05 a.m. EST. During this time, the asteroid will pass over the planet from a distance of 0.03860 astronomical units or around 3.6 million miles away.
