Won't be long now !!  ???

Asteroid grazes path of satellites in geostationary ring!!

A reasonably small 4-8 m asteroid recently flew by Earth, passing close to satellites orbiting in the geostationary ring at a distance of about 42 735 km from Earth’s centre and only about 1200 km from the nearest satellite.

While the asteroid, now named 2020 HS7, came close to the geostationary ring, it passed ‘under’ the nearest satellite and posed no major risk as their orbits did not intersect.

Asteroid 2020 JJ flew past Earth at just 0.03 LD on May 4 -- the closest of the year and 6th closest on record  :-[

https://watchers.news/2020/05/04/asteroid-2020-jj/

A newly-discovered asteroid designated 2020 JJ flew past Earth at a very close distance of 0.03 LD / 0.0000896 AU (13 403 km / 8 328 miles) at 12:05 UTC on May 4, 2020.

This is the 40th known asteroid to flyby Earth since the start of the year and the second of the month. This is also the closest asteroid flyby since October 31, 2019 (2019 UN13), and the 6th closest asteroid flyby on record.

2020 JJ belongs to the Apollo group of asteroids. It was first observed at Mt. Lemmon Survey, Arizona just a couple of hours before its close approach.

The object has an estimated diameter between 2.7 and 6 m (8.8 to 19.7 feet

The time of discovery of "a couple of hours before approach" (or contact) is probably what we can expect in most future sightings.

(INTELLIHUB) — NASA’s Planetary Defense Coordination Office will be on high alert this week as Earth passes through a portion of space with a highly pronounced debris field..  :o  :o

https://www.intellihub.com/nasa-planetary-defense-coordination-office-on-high-alert-this-week-as-earth-passes-through-debris-cloud-claim/

“Eventually it’s going to get bad but we don’t know how it’s going to be,” Mike explained. We can’t escape a certain portion of it… we are 100% going to pass through a very dangerous part of space and that is unavoidable.”

Mike told the pastor that NASA and other agencies will be closely monitoring the situation between May 11 and 15 to see if there will be an “impact” with Earth.

“…the PDCO, the Planetary Defense Coordination Office is going to be very busy with Air Force Space Command and other entities to track inbounds that would threaten the Earth,” he said. “Something like that we could face during the month of May something similar to Tunguska a couple of times—that’s a real potential.”

Mike also told Pastor Bagley that insiders have been talking about a “cyclical” event that “happens to this Earth often” which Mike explained could make for some “pretty bad” times.

“It’s just a very unstable time and we could really see some blowback from this,” he said. “Nobody really knows how bad it is going to be–eventually it’s going to get bad but we don’t know how bad it’s going to be.”

“If we see small fragments that is even worse here’s why,” he explained. “Small fragments if they are [coming in] at a repetitious type of rate that means was we are going to pass through is going to cover a big portion of the planet which means that a lot of places on this earth are going to be burned up because if the inbound debris.”

From NASA:
Planetary Defense Coordination Office

Near-Earth objects (NEOs) are asteroids and comets that orbit the Sun like the planets, but their orbits can bring them into Earth’s neighborhood – within 30 million miles of Earth’s orbit. Planetary defense is “applied planetary science” to address the NEO impact hazard.

    Provides early detection of potentially hazardous objects (PHOs) – the subset of NEOs whose orbits predict they will come within 5 million miles of Earth’s orbit; and of a size large enough (30 to 50 meters) to cause significant damage on Earth;

    Tracks and characterizes PHOs and issues warnings of the possible effects of potential impacts;
    Studies strategies and technologies for mitigating PHO impacts; and
    Plays a lead role in coordinating U.S. government planning for response to an actual impact threat.

NASA reorganized its Near Earth Object Observations Program and established a Planetary Defense Coordination Office in January 2016 in response to the NASA Office of Inspector General’s 2014 report, “NASA’s Efforts to Identify Near-Earth Objects and Mitigate Hazards.”
