Bodies of water vanishing
« on: March 02, 2018, 06:35:13 PM »
We had discussed the apparent fissure in the bed of the Mississippi last fall, and now here's a video documenting the disappearance of other bodies of water.  The Pamlico River and the Neuse River in North Carolina are named.  PTB / MSM are blaming wind, as they did with the receding Florida coast last autumn.

I had a long and convoluted dream last night  about the Mississippi River, that I realize after reading your post, that I may have completely misinterpreted, and will try to remember to post it on dream board.

Max, The first commenter in the comments section of the site that you linked made the unusual observation that he had been there only a few hours earlier, and the river wasn't dry.  So, amazingly, it must have drained almost instantaneously.  It's shocking how quickly a river can empty out, and am assuming that a fissure opened up on the river bed, though I've heard implausible explanations such as wind and gravitational pull of the moon -  ::)

Another possibility in some cases:  rising of the land under the water.  That is what happened at the Mississippi River, according to zetatalk.com.

So if the river bed were to rise, then it would flatten out and the water would be displaced to its banks?

The water would flow downslope, which would then be in upstream and downstream directions.  The rising section of land would not usually be restricted to just the width between the banks; they would also rise at least somewhat.

The largest fresh water body on the island of Hawaii, Green Lake, has disappeared due to being boiled off by lava.  It reportedly took only hours for all the water, which reached a depth of 200 feet, to evaporate, leaving lava in its place.  The 400 year-old lake was a popular swimming spot for residents of the island.

MrMBB333 ponders whether cracks in the earth are draining our bodies of surface water into an ocean below the oceans.  He does not mention the possibility of gravitational influence of visiting astronomical bodies on movement of surface water.  He does consider the possibility that water at the core of the earth might help to provide balast, stabilizing the planet.
