Roundup weed killer attorneys

LEGAL ACTION UPDATE:
Three separate California juries have awarded one couple $2 Billion, one man $289 million and another man $80 million in their Roundup Weed Killer cases. Sadly, they both developed non-Hodgkin’s cancer after years of Roundup use.

The Ruth Law Team is investigating cases involving Roundup Weed Killer and the diagnosis of non-Hodgkins lymphoma (NHL). The lawsuits allege Monsanto, the agricultural company producing Roundup, knew about the risk for cancer yet failed to warn consumers. Unfortunately, this is something we see all too often in product liability cases.

What is Roundup Weed Killer?
Developed in 1970, Roundup Weed Killer is the most widely used herbicide in the world. The main ingredient in the weed killer made is glyphosate. In 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) published research indicating glyphosate is “probably carcinogenic to humans,” meaning it probably causes cancer. Of course, Monsanto denies these claims that Roundup causes cancer. Further, Roundup is not the only weed killer containing glyphosate. Accord, Honcho, Pondmaster, Protocol, Rascal, Roundup Pro and Roundup Ultra also use glyphosate as its main

Thanks, Barb, for bringing Monsanto's misdeeds into our consciousness.  And thankfully the system has worked for these victims.  Fingers are crossed the Supreme Court will not hear any appeals and all verdicts in favor of plaintiffs will be allowed to stand.

Good news indeed.

Celebrating the Dads and Granddads all weekend...

Remembering my own father and grandfathers:

Fishing together at the lake, and glad he didn't get flustered when I cast my hook and line into a tree

Searching for lost golf balls in the woods and being rewarded with a grape soda

Discussing books on the phone after I moved away

Watching storms come in on the prairie and counting the distance between lightning and thunder

Listening to him tell stories and jokes in the tornado cellar

Using an ink pen to draw mustaches together on authority figures and politicians in the Sunday papers

A pack of chewing gum always in his shirt pocket

His pipe with a wonderful familiar smell

Basement full of half-baked inventions

Feeding every cat in the neighborhood

Making stuffed animals "talk" like Donald Duck

An amazing library that I never got tired of exploring

Good at fixing things

Steeled my nerves when walking me down the aisle with everyone staring

Staying up til midnight on weekends to watch old movies together

Loved Easter egg hunts with difficult hiding places

Lied about catching the Easter bunny and being kicked in the shins

Stayed up all night on Christmas Eve every year drinking coffee with the menfolk, because they were too excited to go to sleep

Sometimes bought me complicated toys meant mostly for him

Would pretend to get mad if losing board and card games

Allowed us kids to have a sip of wine or brandy on New Year's Eve

Graciously climbed trees to clean up all the tissue paper when friends decorated the yard during the night before my 18th birthday

Would get me out of school to take me on trips to historic places

Taught me how to build an igloo one winter

Was a master gardener

Have a wonderful weekend fellas!

Hi ilinda, yes we will keep a good thought.
Monsanto still has a lot of power...?
But hopefully this will end someday... This trial that happened, I will look into it more, 2016.  Heard about it when it happened, not sure what affect it had on the company. I hope it was the beginning of the end for Monsanto.   Differing opinions on the trial, as to the legal validty but IMHO they got it right, declaring Monsanto Guilty Of Crimes Against The Planet And Humanity. By Eradicating Ecocide
Global Research, October 18, 2016

Verdict: Monsanto Guilty Of Crimes Against The Planet And Humanity

Judge Françoise Tulkens: “civil society has to help International Law to develop and include ecocide” (Monsanto Tribunal Day 3, The Hague)

– and indeed civil society is helping. Not only did the Monsanto Tribunal open up the space for testimony to be heard, but it also demonstrated that complex issues, such as significant harm arising from corporate ecocide, can be addressed through the rule of law. Ecocide is not yet a crime, but as Judge Tulkens declared, “civil society has to help International Law to develop and include ecocide.”

And Judge Tulkens is a judge who speaks informedly – her legal background includes professorship specialising in the fields of general criminal law, comparative and European criminal law, juvenile justice and human rights protection systems before and tenureship as a European Court of Human Rights Judge. Tulkens is also the author of many publications in the areas of human rights and criminal law.

Was it a Kangaroo court, as Monsanto claimed? (See Guardian story here) or was it the first steps towards ecological justice? You decide…
