Yowbarb Note: Northeasterners, Canadians, watch out for ocean swells on the eastern coastlines and also rip currents.
Probably not the best conditions for swimming or boating in the next couple of days. Last days of summer, tempting to get out there, and Labor Day weekend, so just use caution.
Although ERIN will become a Post-Tropical system later tonight, she could still kick up some waves. Most likely, even though no particular warnings yet.

Excerpt: "The Jersey Shore, and other coastal areas, will likely get some ocean swells from Tropical Storm Erin, but it’s not yet certain whether dangerous rip currents will develop, according to Sarah Johnson, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s regional forecast office in New Jersey. Rip currents are not only influenced by ocean swells, but also by wave heights and strong onshore winds, Johnson noted.

During the past three days, most beaches along the Jersey Shore had a red flag warning because of a high risk of dangerous rip currents, but that was triggered by persistent northeasterly winds blowing in off the ocean — not by any tropical storm activity.

New Jersey will likely get some rain showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday as a cold front pushes in from the west."
