USGS and EMSC do not agree. Reporting data from both.
Earthquake totals in last 24 hours (ending 10AM EST) according to:
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/41 'quakes of magnitude >2.4 ⋅ Total mags = 134.6 ⋅ Avg mag = 3.28 ⋅ (*)
http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/?filter=yes126 'quakes of magnitude >2.4 ⋅ Total mags = 431.4 ⋅ Avg mag = 3.40 ⋅ Median mag = 3.4
(*) Magnitude >2.4 in USA, and >4.4 elsewhere. (>2.4 worldwide not available). Note: that criterion is not applied consistently everywhere.
USGS has 7 'quakes of mag. >4.4, and EMSC has 8.
------------------------
Three strongest 'quakes from either site:
* Mag. 5.3 in SE South Atlantic Ocean, opp. tip of So. America (USGS. EMSC: 5.1).
* Mag. 5.2 ESE of Japan and north of Northern Mariana Islands (both sites).
* Mag. 5.1 in south central Iran (EMSC. USGS: 5.0).
Largest groups of multiple 'quakes from either site:
* 30 in southern Mexico; max mag. 4.7 on the west coast mid-south (EMSC. USGS: 1).
* 14 in Indonesia (Papua, mid-east, central, mid-west, and west); max mag. 4.2 in central south (EMSC. USGS: 0).
* 13 in Alaska; max mag. 3.7 in central section (USGS. EMSC: 9).
* 10 in Chile and nearby in Argentina; max mag. 4.3 in north mid-east Chile (EMSC. USGS:
1 @M4.
3).
* 9 in Puerto Rico region; max mag. 3.6 off the south coast mid-west (USGS. EMSC: 7).
* 5 in Dominican Republic region; max mag. 3.4 off the north coast mid-west (EMSC. USGS: 0).
* 4 in California USA; max mag. 3.2 in central east (both sites).
* 4 in Iran; max mag. 5.1 in south central (EMSC. USGS: 1).
* 4 in Costa Rica; max mag. 4.
5 on the west coast central (EMSC. USGS:
0).
* 3 in and/or around each of: ⋅ Hawaii, Philippines region, western Turkey, and Albania ⋅ (at least one source site each).
Note: The max mag. for each line can be from the site with the least number of 'quakes.
Comment: USGS's exclusion of magnitudes <4.5 outside of USA fails to reveal groups of 'quakes of increasing significance (e.g, Australia, Mexico). Note that that criterion is not applied consistently everywhere (see underlined values, if any).
-----------------------
From USGS (USA all 'quakes, separate data capture, 24 hours ending 10AM EST 30/Dec/19):
*
132 'quakes of all magnitudes in California, Nevada, and nearby in Mexico (max mag. 3.0).
* 37 'quakes of all magnitudes in Puerto Rico extended region (max mag. 3.2).
* 32 'quakes of all magnitudes in Alaska (max mag. 3.7).
* 15 'quakes of all magnitudes in Hawaii (max mag. 2.9).
* 6 'quakes of all magnitudes in Utah (max mag. 1.8).
* 4 'quakes of all magnitudes in Oklahoma (max mag. 3.7).
* 4 'quakes of all magnitudes in western Montana (max mag. 2.1).
* 1 or 2 'quakes of any magnitudes in Washington, Texas, and North Carolina (max mag. 2.5).
* No 'quakes of any magnitude in Yellowstone Park (NW Wyoming plus strips of Montana and Idaho) but 1 nearby west (mag. 2.1).
> Notice elements of the frequent arc from western Montana to SE Nevada.

Note: Quarry blasts and explosions, if any, are shown on the map but not included in the 'quake counts above.
----------------------------
From EMSC (two separate data captures; 'quake counts are not necessarily consistent):
* 33 earthquakes of magnitude >1.9 in last 24 hours in Euro-Med region, according to
http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/Map/zoom.php?key=1&typ=world#2[IMAGE Dec30-2019_quakes_min-mag-2_Iberia_to_Iran_per_EMSC_24-Hrs_Dec30-2019.jpg] has 31 'quakes.
