USGS and EMSC do not agree. Reporting data from both.
Earthquake totals in last 24 hours (ending 10AM EDT) according to:

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/
42 'quakes of magnitude >2.4 ⋅ Total mags = 143.9 ⋅ Avg mag = 3.42 ⋅ (*)

http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/?filter=yes
174 'quakes of magnitude >2.4 ⋅ Total mags = 580.2 ⋅ Avg mag = 3.33 ⋅ Median mag = 3.2

(*) Magnitude >2.4 in USA, and >4.4 elsewhere (>2.4 worldwide not available).  Note: that criterion is not applied consistently everywhere.

USGS has 7 'quakes of mag. >4.4, and EMSC has 10.
------------------------

Three strongest magnitudes from either site:
* Mag. 5.7  in central mid-east South Pacific Ocean, opp. central Chile (both sites).
* Mag. 5.2  west of Tonga (both sites).
* Mag. 4.8  at Kamchatka (Russia), Madagascar, Punjab (India), and Pakistan (EMSC: 4.  USGS: 2).

Largest groups of multiple 'quakes from either site:
*  27  in Dominican Republic incl. 1 nearby in Haiti;  max mag. 3.7 off the north coast west of DR (EMSC.  USGS: 2 incl. M3.6).
*  27  in Indonesia (Papua, mid-east, central, mid-west, and west);  max mag. 4.7 in central beyond-south (EMSC.  USGS: 1 @ M4.3 in Papua).
*  27  in southern Mexico;  max mag. 4.0 off the west coast south (EMSC.  USGS: 0).
*  23  in Chile incl. 1 nearby in Bolivia;  max mag. 4.3 in north central Chile  (EMSC.  USGS: 0).  (*)
*  7  in Puerto Rico;  max mag. 3.4 twice off the south coast central (both sites).
*  7  in California USA incl. 2 nearby in Mexico;  max mag. 3.5 in northern Baja California, Mexico (EMSC.  USGS: 6).
*  6  in mid-south mid-west Idaho, USA; max mag. 4.4 there (both sites).
*  4  at Hawaii largest island;  max mag. 2.8 on and off the SE coast (EMSC.  USGS: 3).
*  4  in Argentina;  max mag. 4.2 in north west (EMSC.  USGS: 1 @ M4.2).
*  4  in Costa Rica;  max mag. 3.4 off the west coast mid-south (EMSC.  USGS: 0).
*  4  in Turkey region incl. 1 nearby in Iran;  max mag. 3.1 in mid-east mid-south Turkey (EMSC.  USGS: 0).

*  3  in and/or around each of: ⋅ Alaska,  and western China ⋅ (at least one source site each).

(*)  2 'quakes nearby in Argentina are counted in another line.

Notes:
* The max mag. for each line can be from the site with the least number of 'quakes.
* The two sites may have the same number of 'quakes in a region but not the same ones or the same max mag.
* Counts >2 in Argentina are now reported separately from Chile unless they are all nearby Chile. Any that are near to Chile are on the eastern slope of the Andes.

Comment: USGS's exclusion of magnitudes <4.5 outside of USA fails to reveal groups of 'quakes of increasing significance (e.g, Australia, Mexico). Note that that criterion is not applied consistently everywhere (see underlined values, if any).
-----------------------

From USGS (USA all 'quakes, separate data capture, 24 hours ending 10AM EDT 14/May/20):

* 94 'quakes of all magnitudes in California and nearby in Mexico (max mag. 2.8).  (note #)
* 64 'quakes of all magnitudes in Alaska and nearby in Canada (max mag. 3.1).
* 32 'quakes of all magnitudes in Hawaii (max mag. 2.8).
* 12 'quakes of all magnitudes in Oklahoma (max mag. 2.8).
* 8 'quakes of all magnitudes in Puerto Rico (max mag. 3.4).
* 6 'quakes of all magnitudes in Idaho (max mag. 4.4).
* 5 'quakes of all magnitudes in Utah (max mag. 1.8).
* 5 'quakes of all magnitudes in Nevada (max mag. 1.0).

* 1 or 2 'quakes of any magnitudes in: Washington, western Texas, and NE Arkansas (max mag. 3.0 in TX).

> No 'quakes of any magnitude in Yellowstone Park (NW Wyoming plus strips of Montana and Idaho).
+ 1 'quake of all magnitudes near to New Madrid in SE Missouri (mag. 1.7).

# Clusters in California: 22 'quakes in mid-north west, and 21 in a line in mid-south mid-east.

[IMAGE May14-2020_all_quakes_USA_24hrs_ending_10AM-EDT-May14-2020.JPG]
Note: Quarry blasts and explosions, if any, are shown on the map but not included in the 'quake counts above.
----------------------------

From EMSC (two separate data captures; 'quake counts are not necessarily consistent):
* 29 earthquakes of magnitude >1.9 in last 24 hours in Euro-Med region, according to http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/Map/zoom.php?key=1&typ=world#2

[IMAGE May14-2020_quakes_min-mag-2_Iberia_to_Iran_per_EMSC_24-Hrs_May14-2020.jpg]  has 20 'quakes.

M6.5  in central west Nevada, USA, three hours ago and large swarm continuing still.

I wonder what military installation is there?

Good question Jim!

There are 3 official military bases in Nevada, per Militarybases.com, but there are separate military ranges  scattered around the state.  The one nearest to central Nevada is actually a Naval installation:

A distance calculator to Area 51 shows Creech AFB NW of Las Vegas, with Area 51 being nearly due north of there by about 50 mi as the crow flies toward the center of the state.  The quake map, however, shows the 6.5 event as happening closer to the western border of the state around Tonopah, so maybe the naval base was more involved?

USGS and EMSC do not agree. Reporting data from both.
Earthquake totals in last 24 hours (ending 10AM EDT) according to:

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/
94 'quakes of magnitude >2.4 ⋅ Total mags = 318.5 ⋅ Avg mag = 3.39 ⋅ (*)

http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/?filter=yes
188 'quakes of magnitude >2.4 ⋅ Total mags = 653.5 ⋅ Avg mag = 3.48 ⋅ Median mag = 3.4

(*) Magnitude >2.4 in USA, and >4.4 elsewhere (>2.4 worldwide not available).  Note: that criterion is not applied consistently everywhere.

USGS has 15 'quakes of mag. >4.4, and EMSC has 21.  < correct
------------------------

Three strongest 'quakes from either site:
* Mag. 5.8  south of eastern Crete, Greece (both sites).
* Mag. 5.3  in central mid-south Japan (both sites).
* Mag. 5.1  off the east coast central of Japan (both sites).

Largest groups of multiple 'quakes from either site:
*  45  in Nevada USA;  max mag. 4.3 in central west (USGS.  EMSC: 37).  (**)
*  24  in southern Mexico;  max mag. 4.1 off the west coast south  (EMSC.  USGS: 0).
*  22  in Greece region;  max mag. 5.8 south of eastern Crete (EMSC.  USGS: 11 incl. M4.1).  (*)
*  20  in Chile incl. 1 nearby in Argentina;  max mag. 4.9 in NE Chile (EMSC.  USGS: 1).
*  16  in Indonesia (mid-east, central, mid-west, and west);  max mag. 4.9 in mid-west off the south coast (EMSC.  USGS: 2).
*  13  in Japan region;  max mag. 5.3 in central mid-south (EMSC.  USGS: 5).
*  12  in California USA incl. 1 nearby offshore Oregon, and incl. 1 nearby in Mexico;  max mag. 4.4 off the coast north (USGS.  EMSC: 8).  (**)
*  6  in Dominican Republic;  max mag. 3.3  in east central (EMSC.  USGS: 0).
*  5  in Alaska;  max mag. 3.3 on the south coast east (EMSC.  USGS: 4).
*  4  in Hawaii largest island;  max mag. 3.4 on the SE coast (EMSC.  USGS: 3).
*  4  in Puerto Rico;  max mag. 3.5 off the south coast mid-west (USGS.  EMSC: 3).
*  4  in Iran; max mag. 4.3 in west central (EMSC.  USGS: 0).
*  4  in Costa Rica;  max mag. 4.1 off the west coast north (EMSC.  USGS: 0).

*  3  in and/or around each of: ⋅ western Turkey ⋅ (at least one source site each).

(*) 1 'quake east of Crete, Greece. and off the south coast west of Turkey is counted with Greece.
(**) These values for EMSC are correct.  No obvious reason for the large differences between EMSC and USGS.

Notes:
* The max mag. for each line can be from the site with the least number of 'quakes.
* The two sites may have the same number of 'quakes in a region but not the same ones or the same max mag.
* The facilities available allow for recovery today of 'quakes lost in processing delay at cut-off time yesterday for EMSC but not for USGS.

From USGS (USA all 'quakes, separate data capture, 24 hours ending 10AM EDT 19/May/20):

* 275 'quakes of all magnitudes in Nevada (max mag. 4.3).
* 88 'quakes of all magnitudes in California and nearby in Mexico (max mag. 4.4).
* 44 'quakes of all magnitudes in Alaska and nearby in Canada (max mag. 3.3).
* 19 'quakes of all magnitudes in Hawaii (max mag. 3.0).
* 11 'quakes of all magnitudes in Utah (max mag. 2.1).
* 8 'quakes of all magnitudes in Oklahoma (max mag. 2.2).
* 7 'quakes of all magnitudes in Idaho (max mag. 2.9).
* 4 'quakes of all magnitudes in Puerto Rico (max mag. 3.5).
* 3 'quakes of all magnitudes in NW Wyoming (max mag. 1.2).

* 1 or 2 'quakes of any magnitudes offshore Oregon and in Washington (max mag. 3.1 at OR).

> 3 'quakes of all magnitude in Yellowstone Park (NW Wyoming plus strips of Montana and Idaho) (max mag. 1.2).

Note: Quarry blasts and explosions, if any, are shown on the map but not included in the 'quake counts above.
----------------------------

From EMSC (two separate data captures; 'quake counts are not necessarily consistent):
* 52 earthquakes of magnitude >1.9 in last 24 hours in Euro-Med region, according to http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/Map/zoom.php?key=1&typ=world#2

[IMAGE May19-2020_quakes_min-mag-2_Iberia_to_Iran_per_EMSC_24-Hrs_May19-2020.jpg]  has 47 'quakes.

Three strongest 'quakes from either site (plus one):

* Mag. 5.0  in NW Argentina (both sites).
* Mag. 5.0  in central west Nevada USA (USGS.  EMSC: 4.9).

Note re. USGS absence: longer processing delay at cut-off time, perhaps because of a swarm ongoing in Nevada then (the time of the 'quake near Samoa was 13'9" before cut-off).  USGS did record swarm 'quakes until 3'25" before cut-off, and they recorded the 'quake near Samoa a short time later after cut-off.  Note also that USGS updates its' database approximately every minute, and it might take me 3 minutes to complete the setting changes and downloads to capture all the data.  EMSC's last reported 'quake was the same as USGS's.  In general, tho, processing delays can take up to 20 minutes for both sites.

Largest groups of multiple 'quakes from either site:
*  56  in Nevada USA;  max mag. 5.0 in central west (USGS.  EMSC: 49).

USGS and EMSC do not agree. Reporting data from both.
Earthquake totals in last 24 hours (ending 10AM EDT) according to:

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/
53 'quakes of magnitude >2.4 ⋅ Total mags = 186.8 ⋅ Avg mag = 3.52 ⋅ (*)

http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/?filter=yes
148 'quakes of magnitude >2.4 ⋅ Total mags = 506.2 ⋅ Avg mag = 3.42 ⋅ Median mag = 3.3

(*) Magnitude >2.4 in USA, and >4.4 elsewhere (>2.4 worldwide not available).  Note: that criterion is not applied consistently everywhere.

USGS has 9 'quakes of mag. >4.4, and EMSC has 10.
------------------------

Three strongest 'quakes from either site:
* Mag. 5.9  in mid-south mid-east South Atlantic Ocean, opp. mid-south Argentina (both sites).
* Mag. 5.6  in mid-north mid-west Indian Ocean, opp northern Madagascar (both sites).
* Mag. 5.5  off the west coast south of Mexico (both sites).

Largest groups of multiple 'quakes from either site:
*  34  in southern Mexico incl. 1 nearby offshore Guatemala;  max mag. 5.5 off the west coast south of Mexico (EMSC.  USGS: 5 incl. M4.1).
*  15  in central west Nevada USA;  max mag. 3.9 there (USGS.  EMSC: 13).
*  22  in Chile incl. 3 nearby in Argentina and 1 nearby in Bolivia;  max mag. 4.2 in SW Bolivia (EMSC.  USGS: 1 @ M4.2).
*  15  in Indonesia (Papua, mid-east, central, mid-west, and west);  max mag. 4.7 in mid-west off south-most coast (EMSC.  USGS: 1).
*  13  in Puerto Rico region incl. Virgin Islands;  max mag. 3.9 north of British Virgin Islands (both sites).
*  7  in Greece region;  max mag. 5.3 south of eastern Crete (EMSC.  USGS: 2 incl. 4.3).
*  5  in Turkey and nearby islands;  max mag. 3.7 in mid-east mid-south (EMSC.  USGS: 0).
*  4  in California USA;  max mag. 3.8 in mid-south mid-east (USGS.  EMSC: 3).
*  4  in Alaska;  max mg. 3.1 in central south and off the south coast central (EMSC.  USGS: 3).

*  3  in and/or around each of: ⋅ Peru,  mid-south Idaho USA,  mid-north mid-west Indian Ocean,  and Kyrgyzstan ⋅ (at least one source site each).

That accounts for some cases of EMSC having one more 'quake than USGS in a region.

From USGS (USA all 'quakes, separate data capture, 24 hours ending 10AM EDT 24/May/20):

* 354 'quakes of all magnitudes in Nevada (max mag. 3.9).
* 175 'quakes of all magnitudes in California and nearby in Mexico (max mag. 3.8).
* 58 'quakes of all magnitudes in Alaska and nearby in Canada (max mag. 2.9).
* 17 'quakes of all magnitudes in Puerto Rico region incl. Virgin Islands (max mag. 3.9).
* 11 'quakes of all magnitudes in Hawaii (max mag. 2.7).
* 6 'quakes of all magnitudes in Oklahoma (max mag. 2.4).
* 3 'quakes of all magnitudes in Washington (max mag. 0.7).

* 1 or 2 'quakes of any magnitudes in: Oregon, Idaho, and NW Tennessee (max mag. 2.6 in ID).

> No 'quakes of any magnitude in Yellowstone Park (NW Wyoming plus strips of Montana and Idaho).
+ 1 'quake of all magnitudes near to New Madrid in SE Missouri (mag. 2.0).

[IMAGE May24-2020_all_quakes_USA_24hrs_ending_10AM-EDT-May24-2020.JPG]
Note: Quarry blasts and explosions, if any, are shown on the map but not included in the 'quake counts above.
----------------------------

From EMSC (two separate data captures; 'quake counts are not necessarily consistent):
* 47 earthquakes of magnitude >1.9 in last 24 hours in Euro-Med region, according to http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/Map/zoom.php?key=1&typ=world#2

[IMAGE May24-2020_quakes_min-mag-2_Iberia_to_Iran_per_EMSC_24-Hrs_May24-2020.jpg]  has 42 'quakes.
