It is a disturbing thought there are people trapped and cannot get the help they need...
a friend of mine is in NZ... he says current government of Australia was warned more would need to be done... I won't go into that more...

What also haunts me so much, is the Koalas.  :'( Saw a news film, BBC a koala running along, hot ground...thousands have been killed... So many good people contributing millions of dollars and people trying to get in, to help stop the fire and to help people and animals... They all need our prayers... screen shot of rescued injured Koala is below.

https://metro.co.uk/2020/01/05/thousands-koalas-kangaroos-killed-fires-precious-nature-reserve-12004311/

Barb, there is also a photo of a charred kangaroo on the web that is heart-breaking, but I won't publish it here.
Thank you for NOT posting that pic.

Try to place this lovely koala survivor image in your mind, instead of the other one... the tanker driver managed to get him into the truck. Since he was waiting for trucks to fill their tanks from his truck, he sat and fed the koala water from a bottle for over one hour... Don't you love the thought of the little one finding safety and having enough trust to sit and be fed water from a bottle...

That is so sweet Barb, and sounds like ascension in progress to me, with animals becoming less skittish toward humans.
