Title: Some sites which sell canned meats, and other survival foods and supplies
Post by: noproblemo2 on October 23, 2010, 04:26:15 PM
This is one item I keep on hand and it tastes good also. Yoders Canned Bacon. This site also sells many others supplies.

I've got two cases of that stuff - I love it!!
Me too  ;) What else do you have on hand? I have the freeze dried packets and #10 cans of things in plus a case of Red Feather butter among my stash. Going to do an inventory tomorrow on what I have and may yet need.

Same here,.....plus large amounts of more basic "staples" and of course, water.  I also have quite a bit of #10 cans of Mountain House and others,......I also have eFoods.  The thing about the eFoods, from what I have observed, is that it really is good enough to eat all the time.  Everything else is too,..however, my wife, like many others seems to turn their nose up at most of my Prep foods as something that they "might" eat if the alternative is to starve to death.  I am happy to report that my wife and kids all eat the eFoods like normal.  (We actually tested it on my kids - without them knowing it, and they ate it just like normal,..and really liked the Cheesy Chicken Rice.  Anyway,....I'm getting alot more of it for all the normal reasons but also as a hedge against the pending hyperinflation, which I see as a very real possibility.

I also have several lbs of dehydrated vegetable soup base which I got from San Francisco Herb Company.  I do have the butter you mentioned,...but I like the case of canned cheese a great deal.  It's like Velveeta poured into a can - except it's firmer,...like American Cheese.   Do you have any of that, or have you tried it?

My sig has a link where you are able to get 12 servings of eFoods free to try.  You just have to pay about $9 for shipping - I got mine in about 3 - 4 business days.  No catch.  I think they are giving away about 1 million servings free.

It is a little smaller than a gallon. A big can like they use in restaurants, where they serve a lot of people.

I love bacon! Now people just forgive my ignorance, but what is meant by #10 can?  Is it a can that weighs 10 pounds?  Thanks.
Smart & Final stores have the # 10's also, I have a lot of the freeze dried foods in them, shelf life is 20-30 years on the ones I have.

Hi All
there are probably a few other places on the Town Hall where you can post up sites or stores from which to purchase your survival supplies - but anyway this Topic will have a collection of sites.
Here is one, randomly selected, not plugging any particular site,

This is a repeat... Site looks good. Some items back ordered, so there may be some competition for food supplies.
For example the year's supply of MREs is back ordered now.
The month's supply of MREs is back ordered now.
http://beprepared.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_KX%20M365_A_name_E_MRE%20(Meal%20Ready%20to%20Eat)%20Year%20Supply%20of%20Food

Their 1-Month Supply of Freeze-Dried & Dehydrated Foods (Sale $364.95) is now backordered.
[Yowbarb Note: They have other types of year's and month's food supplies available now.]

Water: One Year Supply of Canned Drinking Water (984 Cans) 24 oz is NOT backordered they have it.
$3,699.95   IN WS P600 - Canned Drinking Water

Canned Drinking Water
Reviewed By: Mary Lou M (San Francisco, California)
Canned Emergency Drinking Water is an absolutely wonderful new product. The water taste good (I had to open a can and try it). It stacks well in my outdoor shed, and because the cans are metal, I do not have to worry about rodents tampering with it. Saved a little money when considering I was rotating my box-type water in and out every several years.

Yowbarb Note: They have other types of emergency drinking water such as in pouches, not back ordered either.
They also have freeze fried fruits, milk, vegetables, entrees baking mixes and natural seeds in bulk quantities.

This looks like great info from a Town Hall Member, Survival101.
Thanks! Good to know,
Yowbarb
..................................................................................................

If you'd rather not do an auction, try www.sportsmansguide.com (http://www.sportsmansguide.com) for a case (12 meals) of MRE's at $69.97, at $62.97 (w/$29/yr. Buyer's Club) or $61.40 (w/Buyer's Club and Sportsman's Guide Visa). These are everyday prices, and
shipping usually is not outrageous... Realize, that these too require at least a water source and they are not considered to be long-term
nutritional sources, more for your B-O-B/Scoot-Paks to compliment your S.O.S/Mainstay bars, better would be the Emergency Essentials dehydrated/freeze-dried and your local canned goods, best, of course, will be all your fresh Urban Harvest/Garden sources...

I'm not plugging any particular supplier. This looks like they could be a good supplier of fish for the UK area or possibly other areas. Not sure the shipping cost. The prices are listed in GBPs. Pounds.

Just a note:
Ads pop up on the Planet X Town Hall. sometimes they are about survival foods, survival seeds and other food supplies.
If you see something you were thinking of purchasing anyway, just click the ad and purchase it from here and it will benefit the Planet X Town Hall.
